About Us

Mosaic tiling is a long-time hobby of mine. It's always fascinating to see the finished product that emerges from the individual elements. Casting is a similar process. We help put the pieces together to make a work of art.

Jen Kelley
co-Founder/Casting Director

Jen grew up in New Hampshire, attended college in Vermont, and then in 1991 dragged her packed Plymouth Horizon to Los Angeles, California. There she found her niche working as a talent agent in the Youth division of TGI/Bloom, where she helped to launch the careers of Michelle Williams, Brandi Norwood and Erika Christenson.

After five years, four mudslides, two earthquakes and one riot, Jen left the City of Angels and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. There she discovered the joy of grits and pimento cheese, while resuming her life as a talent agent at People Store. Jen worked in all departments during her 14 years there, eventually becoming the department head of the commercial and industrial divisions. She left People Store October 1, 2011 to form Big Picture Casting, Inc. with Rita Harrell.

Jen is also a co-founder and the Artistic Director of Sketchworks Theatre. There she writes, directs, produces and acts in various sketch comedy shows throughout the year. She has also co-written "The Actor’s Guide for Kids," a successful actor’s handbook published by Illustrata. In her spare time, Jen enjoys tennis, gardening, writing and volunteering at Furkids. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Nick and her cat who thinks he’s a dog, Maximum Jackson (Max).

I am a drama geek at heart. Big Picture Casting allows me to bring together my love for the entertainment industry and acting with my skills for organization and multitasking. It really is my dream career.

Rita Harrell
Co-Founder/Casting Director

Rita is returning to casting after a four year stint at People Store talent agency, where she became intimately familiar with the Atlanta market by serving as a voiceover and on-camera industrial agent.

Rita shifted to agency work after living in New York City, where she worked in casting for such organizations as The Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival, the New York Theater Workshop and the Williamstown Theater Festival. Rita was the casting associate on the movie Maid in Manhattan for Revolution Studios and the TV pilot Queens Supreme for CBS. Before moving back to her hometown of Atlanta with her husband Scott, Rita worked for two years as the East Coast casting associate at FOX Television. Rita has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Florida State University.

Rita and Scott have two children, Jack Henry and Lucy and a cantankerous yet lovable cat, Rudy.
